Well, we are doing it! We had a one week trip to the Black Hills and Badlands of South Dakota which was successful. We towed the Jeep, “Rodita” behind the RV, “Dericka” and all went well. We were home for four nights to restock and “move out” so that our friends Carol and Bella could move in.
And now we are on the road for almost a month! I am wildly excited and at the same time nervous about driving 13-14 TONS down the road. But so far, I am rocking it! I drove 430 miles in two days- From our home in Thornton to Alamosa for a quick overnight (sorry to miss you, Alexis and Pablo!) and now to Mancos, outside Mesa Verde for two nights so that we can explore southwestern Colorado.
Yesterday’s drive from Alamosa to Mancos was quite a bit of work, but well worth it. The leaves and the colors and the sky were amazing! I drove the RV towing the jeep over Wolf Creek Pass and I think Big Daddy (BD) videoed most of it. It took a while since vehicles over 22,00 pounds are limited to 25 MPH. We had lunch in Pagosa Springs where Dad and Linda and Tim and I had all been previously. They had on outdoor patio and Lilly joined us- she enjoyed finding treats on the ground and laying in the sunshine.
Today we are in Mancos at the Mesa Verde RV Park Resort. I have work to do and Marleigh has an online class before we can play. BD is tired and so plans to sleep late- we will head to Mesa Verde later this morning. I am learning WordPress so bear with me as I upload pics and post blogs – feedback is welcome. Hugs to you all, more adventures to come!!!
Iām so excited to live vicariously through you! Your bravery is inspiring! You go girls!!ššŖš¼
