Gearing up for the Big Adventure

We have been at Casa Cummins for over two weeks and I am getting super excited to hit the road again. We got Dericka back on Friday (yay!!!) and Marleigh, Natasha and I washed her yesterday to get all of the yuck from the snow on Vail pass off of her. We will do some maintenance on her at home this morning and then move her to St. Vrain State Park in Longmont later today where we will continue cleaning and organizing today and tomorrow. It’s easier to “live into” the space when the slides are out, which we can’t do at home. We also have to de-winterize her and get all of the antifreeze out of the lines before using the holding tanks. Much to do!

We have enjoyed seeing many of our Colorado peeps in the last two weeks-good times with good friends and family before we are on the road for 6 months! Marleigh has been busy staying on top of her on-line school so that she is a few days ahead as we venture out.

We plan to head out on Tuesday morning towards St. Louis. This leg of the trip it will just be Marleigh and Lilly and I- Big Daddy will join us back East. I have to be in Charlotte, NC at the beginning of December for a meeting for work so we will be in Durham with my sister by November 29th or 30th. Mar and I will do Thanksgiving in Dericka along the way- we may even try to cook a Turkey in our little oven!

We will spend Christmas with Blythe and Chip and other family friends in NC or VA and will do some historic sightseeing in the southeast during December and much of January. We would love to see our East Coast peeps, so hit us up if you want to get together! We may even make it to Pennsylvania to see Moonie and his girls. At the end of January we will head to Orlando to meet our friends the Galyons at Disney, and then spend two weeks in Tampa/Clearwater/Sarasota. We will head back to Orlando to meet Bella and Carol February 13-18. No better way to spend “Singles Awareness Week” than with good friends at the happiest place on earth!

As always, let us know if you have suggestions for places or people to see along the way. And – we will be back to sending postcards daily-let us know if you want to see our journey in YOUR mailbox! Text me your address to 303-591-6279.

Thanks for all of your love, support, and prayers as we embark on this journey!
