Docked in Durham

We made it to Durham and have been enjoying spending time with Auntie Blythe, Uncle Chip and Big Daddy since last Wednesday.  We have a lovely campsite with full hook ups at Triangle RV Park which is less than 10 miles away from Blythe’s house. It is unbelievably quiet which is so nice. Many of our recent stops have been near the interstate with all of the affiliated noises.

Chip is an amazing cook so we feasted like kings on Turkey day and have been grateful to be in one spot for multiple days after being on through road daily since Sunday. On Friday Mar and I got up early and went shopping for Black Friday, something I have not done in years. We then went back to Dericka and got cleaned up to go to Cirque de Noel in Raleigh on Friday night. Blythe and Chip had tickets and Big Daddy, Mar and I were able to get tickets to join them. An amazing symphony performance along with crazy stunning cirque act – it was fun!

On Saturday we went to Scrap Exchange here in Durham, which is a craft thrift store started by a teacher. They have gobs of amazing items that could be used for crafting- scrap paper, postcards and magazines, books, fabric, tools, etc. It was super cool and Mar was able to get some silk flowers to assemble Mickey Mouse ears- a new crafting idea that she loves. Once she has a few completed she will put them as well as other crafts for sale on Etsy.

Blythe and Chip had a cold and now Marleigh has it so she laid low with Auntie Blythe and Big Daddy while I attended a Board Meeting for work in Charlotte. We are now all back in Durham and will do some local touristy stuff today and tomorrow. Tomorrow night we will attend an ariel showcase at the dance studio that Blythe goes to and then we will have Saturday to get organized and ready before heading out on Sunday. Location TBD! Hope all of our peeps had great Turkey Days!
