Hey all! First off, so far we are all well. We have been very fortunate in our recent locations which afford us beautiful views and weather which has allowed us to be outside. Having a “lanai” makes a lot of difference!
Since I last wrote, we have done so much in Florida! Pine Island, Homestead, Key West, Islamorada, Fort Lauderdale, Lake Okeechobee, Orlando and Disney (again- this time with our friend Moonie from PA) and finally the space coast. We continue to have fun and make our way, even in these trying times. Yesterday we got to see a rocket launch at Kennedy Space Center- only about 5 miles from our campsite!
We have been camping lakefront for the last 10 days at Kennedy Athletic Recreation Social Park which has been great. They are closing tomorrow because of CoronaVirus so we are leaving today for Jacksonville. With Big Daddy with us again (he returned on March 2 after a month in Colorado) we are able to camp on military installations. This can sometimes be problematic when we want some autonomy to get on and off base, but since everything is closed there is nothing to see, so I am grateful for the added security during these uncertain times. Not to mention we can shop at the military commissary and exchange which is an added bonus.
Our initial plans of getting to Nashville are on hold until things loosen up and I figure if we can stay in places with outdoor activities like the river or the beach to keep us occupied and outside then we can practice social distancing and not go stir crazy in the RV.
So, all is as well as it can be. If more parks close and we are unable to find camping locations, well, then we will figure out what is next. Until then, we are staying safe, enjoying one another’s company, and making the most of the days in the beautiful Florida Sun!
Thanks to so many of you who have reached out to check on us. We really appreciate it. I will keep you posted more often in the coming weeks.

Stay safe & enjoy your times together!
